Hey There! I’m Matt Soladay and am a Pediatric Nurse Anesthetist and a personal finance enthusiast.
These two passions of mine lead me to start the Scrubs Money Life blog.
SCRUBS
In 2006, I began my career as a critical care nurse, because, like many of us, I was seeking a profession where I could help people. In 2011, I became a Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) and now primarily focus on Pediatric Anesthesia. Nursing has had a profound impact on my life, and I am grateful to be part of a very special group of people.
MONEY
I came out of grad school with six figures in school debt and was working a ton of overtime to pay it off. I was finally at a point in my life where I was willing to listen and learn about everything personal finance. What I would describe as a hobby quickly turned into a passion, and I found myself teaching everyone at the hospital what I had learned.
LIFE
Although passions, Scrubs and Money are not the most important part of my life; my wife, Laura, is. The decisions we have made allow us to prioritize and live the life we want today, without sacrificing our long-term future.
